Licensed Insurance Agents
All agents providing enrollment assistance through this website hold valid state insurance licenses for the states in which they operate. Our agents are trained and authorized to assist with:
- Individual and family ACA-compliant health insurance plans
- Special Enrollment Period (SEP) applications
- Premium tax credit and cost-sharing reduction eligibility
Agent Compensation
Licensed agents may receive compensation from insurance carriers for plans enrolled through their assistance. This compensation does not increase your premium or out-of-pocket costs. Agent compensation is built into the plan pricing established by the insurance carrier and approved by your state's insurance department.
Marketplace Participation
Depending on the state, our agents may assist you through the federal HealthCare.gov Marketplace, a state-based Marketplace, or directly with insurance carriers.
Consumer Rights
You have the right to:
- Work with the agent or broker of your choice
- Change your agent at any time
- Apply directly through HealthCare.gov or your state Marketplace without agent assistance
- File complaints with your state's Department of Insurance
Complaints
If you have concerns about the conduct of a licensed agent, you may file a complaint with your state's Department of Insurance or contact us at compliance@medicare-uhc.org.
